2018 was incredible year for me both personally and professionally with some real highs and lows. In August, Dann and Lizzie, my daughter, welcomed beautiful Ivy George into the world and I was instantly bowled over by my gorgeous granddaughter. Sadly in November I lost my wonderful father, a true gentleman and an amazing man, much loved by so many people. Luckily he was able to meet his great granddaughter and share our joy.

With my work, being a wedding photographer never fails to take my breath away and I am constantly moved by the love shown for not only the bride and groom, but with so many people who are involved with weddings. Never was this more apparent than when Edward and Evi married at Ettington Park Hotel near to Stratford upon Avon in March. A very young couple, very much in love.

It was a honour for me to take the wedding photographs for Kate and Paul in May and be part of such an emotional day. The strength of everyone that day will always be with me and I was deeply saddened when Kate lost her fight for life towards the end of the year.

I have photographed at a variety of venues with Leonie and Adam holding their reception in a marquee in their parents garden. Nuthurst Grange is always a favourite venue of mine, having married there myself, not that long ago. Now I am based in Leicestershire I have photographed at a number of local venues.

All of my brides and grooms have been amazing and often had to cope with the unexpected, from having to change the wedding venue, to the wedding car not turning up to the best man being taken off to hospital during the drinks reception. For me it is an honour to share the magic that makes each wedding so special. My brides and grooms have all looked amazing and been great to work with. Children often make make a wedding
