If you are choosing to make it official in a registry office there are some great registry offices to choose from. I have featured the ones in Loughborough in Leicestershire, Stratford upon Avon, Warwick, Birmingham and the beautiful Tenbury Wells Pump Rooms.

There are usually two steps to getting married or forming a civil partnership in England and Wales. They are to firstly give notice at your local registry office, and then you can have a religious or civil ceremony at least 28 days after giving notice.

Choosing to marry in a registry office is a cheaper option. To be legally married you need to employ a registrar. Marriage at a registry office involves paying for a superintentent registrar’s certificate and this includes the registrar’s appearance fee.
